The project dates from 1990, Tim Burton hired the writer Jonathan Gems to write a sequel that would take place in Hawaii: Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian, cartoon network 2.5 argentina Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder were starters on the condition that Burton makes the film again.
